There’s something timeless about photographing dear friends — the kind of session that feels more like an evening spent together than a photoshoot. When my dear friend reached out to me with an idea for a ranch photoshoot for her maternity session I didn’t hesitate. After a few weeks of searching, she found a beautiful horse ranch in Mckinney, TX with the loveliest of owners. The ranch, home to a few horses not pictured, was the setting for our shoot— here the sunset painted everything in warm gold and the breeze carried the scent of fresh grass and leaves. The ranch was stunning in every way that mattered.

It was the perfect reflection of this season for their family — a time of growth, anticipation, and love quietly growing. Watching a family prepare to welcome another little one feels a lot like watching flowers bloom: you can’t rush it, but you know something beautiful is on its way.
